My style, and approach.
I passionately believe that as a wedding photographer it's vital to take my job seriously, but I distinguish this responsibility from taking myself too seriously! All too often I hear negative stories about unfriendly, bossy photographers. Luckily photographers like this are in decline. As I mentioned on the front page of this website, barriers are often created between photographers and those being photographed. I see it as my job as a photographer to remove these.
I enjoy photographing weddings (which helps!) but I also think good communication and a friendly presence really help.
Wireless and Infra-red technology
Very often on TV and in films you'll see photographers flashing away at superstars and Britney types. I work at the opposite end of the scale, the equipment I use means much of the time I use no flash at all. In dark situations I often use infra-red or wireless technology. (Okay, I admit...I'm a little geeky). This means I can deploy studio quality lighting to various situations, without wires or huge lights. It removes the need to get really close to whoever I'm photographing, and you won't be blinded by a flash-in-your-face experience.
